The Digital Archive of Massachusetts Anti-Slavery and Anti-Segregation Petitions is the product of ongoing efforts to digitize petitions from the Massachusetts Archives, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The digital facsimiles of documents from the Massachusetts Archives were created beginning in January 2013 under the National Endowment for the Humanities grant PW-51056-12, A Digital Archive of Massachusetts Anti-Slavery and Anti-Segregation Petitions, with funding and support from the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University, the Harvard University Libraries and Imaging Services Department at Widener Library, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, and the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University. The Massachusetts Archives agreed to make the materials available for digitization and to allow Harvard to present the images online within Harvard's digital library infrastructure. These materials were digitized by Imaging Services and made available through the Page Delivery Service (PDS) with cataloging at the item level in the IQSS Dataverse.
