Scope and Contents

Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, chiefly from New York City, relating to Theodore Roosevelt and to a lesser extent his father, Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. The scrapbooks include manuscript annotations in various hands, including those of Theodore Roosevelt and Edith Roosevelt. All loose clippings have been removed from volumes, due to fragility, and are stored in a separate box. Loose clippings have been digitally captured in the order they were found between pages.
Cover/spine labels on the albums are in the hand of R. W. G. Vail.
