BIOGRAPHY

Janet K. Boles is the author of The Politics of the Equal Rights Amendment: Conflict and the Decision Process (1979), one of the first books to examine state ratification of the ERA.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

Collection consists of 26 audiotapes with interviews conducted by Janet K. Boles between January and May 1974 with state legislators and groups of supporters and opponents in Texas, Illinois, and Georgia.
