Eva Alberta Mooar was born in Boston in 1887. She attended Radcliffe 1904-1908, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in French and Romance Languages. While at Radcliffe Mooar served as Class Secretary (1905-1906) and Class Treasurer (1907-1908). She was also a member of the French and German Clubs and manager of the Basketball team (1907-1908). She returned to Radcliffe to obtain her A.M. in 1912-1913. She taught school in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Illinois before becoming Director of the Radcliffe College Appointment Bureau (1917-1925). After another year of teaching in Japan she became Director of Admission at Pembroke College (1927), eventually becoming Dean before her retirement in 1954. Among her other activities she served as a Trustee of the Radcliffe College Alumnae Association and President of the Rhode Island branch of the American Association of University Women. She died in 1967.
