This collection was given by Annie Winsor Allen to the Radcliffe Archives in December, 1976 and August 1977 together with the papers of Annie Ware Winsor Allen, Annie Winsor Allen's mother.

Annie Winsor Allen '24, AM '30, received her doctorate from the University of Paris, Sorbonne, in 1958. Allen, educator and administrator, was Headmistress of Girls Latin, Chicago, Dean of Fisk University, Nashville, and Chairman of Humanities at Bennett College, Greensboro, North Carolina, She was awarded the Institute of International Education Fellowship to France and the Alice M. Longfellow Traveling Fellowship (from Radcliffe) for study in France in 1934.


The collection consists of a scrapbook, 1920-1927, of college memorabilia, bluebooks and Annie Winsor Allen's doctoral thesis.
