HISTORY

The Radcliffe Musical Association was organized in 1910 with the objective of promoting music at Radcliffe. It sponsored concerts by Radcliffe and Harvard students, and donated proceeds from events and dues to Radcliffe to pay for instruments and other musical needs. Two-thirds of its members were Radcliffe alumnae. The Association was dissolved in 1936, and reformed as the Friends of Music at Radcliffe with the same purpose and objectives. It continued to hold concerts and collect money for Radcliffe music until its final meeting in 1956.
