BIOGRAPHY

A psychiatrist and author, Florence Clothier, who married George Wislocki, was director of the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (1945-1957) and League president (1953-1956), before becoming assistant to the president of Vassar College, her alma mater, in 1957. She was also president of the Greater Fall River Committee for Family Planning and a board member of the Euthanasia Educational Council.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

This collection includes correspondence with Florence Clothier's daughter, Joan, while at college, and about the illness and death of Florence Clothier's husband, George Wislocki; two notes from Sarah Blanding; a typescript journal; papers pertaining to the Right to Die Society; and notes, essays, speeches, poems, and miscellaneous correspondence.
