BIOGRAPHY

Edward G. and Hortense R. Levy were collectors of material on the suffrage and women's rights movements, as well as advertisements, pamphlets, etc., catering to women.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists largely of autographs and letters from women authors and suffragists; a scrapbook about opera singer Ernestine Schumann-Heink; advertisements and trade cards; advice-to-women pamphlets; anti-suffrage postcards; and clippings and postcards relating to suffrage and women's rights.
The collection is arranged alphabetically by author and then by subject.
