This collection consists of letters, often of condolence, sent on the anniversaries of the deaths of family members, from Nadia Boulanger to Theodore Chanler, to Theodore's mother, Margaret Terry Chanler (also known as "Daisy"), to "Madame Chanler" (probably Theodore's wife, Maria de Acosta Sargent Chanler), to Theodore's sister, Hester Pickman and to Hester's husband, Edward Pickman.
