Scope and Contents

This collection consists of material used by Jeffrey Toobin as part of his research for numerous books, magazine articles, etc. written from 1984 - 2002. Material consists of research notes, correspondence, clippings of newspaper and magazine articles as well as notes and transcripts of interviews. The collection contains valuable primary source material especially in the correspondence series. A significant portion of the other series include secondary material such as newspaper and magazine clippings. The bulk of the material pertains to two of Mr. Toobin's books, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson and Too Close To Call: The Thirty-Six-Day Battle to Decide the 2000 Election. This collection also contains some audio/visual material including VHS tapes, audio cassettes and 3.5 inch floppy disks. This material is mainly VHS tapes that contain recordings of Mr. Toobin's television appearances as well as documentaries pertaining to Mr. Toobin's research.
