John Jay Osborn, Jr. took his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1967, and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1970. His 1971 bestselling novel, The Paper Chase , tells the story of Hart, a first-year student at Harvard Law School, and his infatuation with Professor Charles Kingsfield. The novel inspired a 1973 Hollywood movie and a television series of the same title. Osborn's other books include The Only Thing I've Done Wrong, The Associates, and The Man Who Owned New York.
The collection includes two boxes of drafts, book reviews, and movie production materials of The Paper Chase ; three and a half boxes of drafts of The Only Thing I've Done Wrong ; and one half box of drafts of The Associates.
