These student and teaching notes document the curricular activities of a student, including both his own studies and his student teaching as section leader. Berkowitz's detailed notes for discussions and examinations document well the workings of the popular survey course, History 1, as do departmental instructions regarding grading and other organizational issues. The papers consist primarily of Berkowitz's lecture and reading notes for courses taken as an undergraduate and graduate student and his teaching notes and other preparatory and administrative material for his work as section leader for History 1.
