Anne Barry was Norman Mailer's secretary. Norman Mailer (1923-2007) was an American novelist, journalist, essayist, playwright, film-maker, actor, and political activist.


Arranged in four series: Anne Barry personal papers; Photographs; Invitations and guest lists; and Correspondence.

Scope and Contents

Includes correspondence between Barry and Mailer, photographs, Barry's 1963 journal, an address book, a 1963 appointment book, invitations and guest lists (some related to Mailer's 1969 mayoral campaign), and miscellaneous papers concerning Mailer, all used by M. Michael Lennon in preparing his biography of Mailer.
