Biographical / Historical

David Walker was a celebrated British costume designer primarily for ballet, but also for opera and theater. After his Royal Court Theatre debut in 1961 in the Jacobean tragedy The Changeling, he went on to work for many of the major dance, opera and theater companies in Britain and in the United States. Walker's designs were particularly famous for accuracy of historical details and picturesque, but delicate romanticism.
