Biographical / Historical

The Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press was co-founded by Dan Carr and Julia Ferrari in 1980 to cast type for Four Zoas Night House, a publishing press operated by Dan Carr, Julia Ferrari and Mark Olson. In the early 1990s, Carr and Ferrari co-founded the press Trois Fontaines. Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press moved to Ashuelot, New Hampshire in 1982.

Consists of drawings, proofs, and other material relating to the design and production of typefaces and books by the Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press from 1984 to 2002. The descriptions and item numbers were supplied by Golgonooza.
