Biographical / Historical

Dutton Cook and W. Moy Thomas were both 19th-century English dramatic critics. Dutton Cook was known as Edward Dutton Cook (1829-1883), and W. Moy Thomas was William Moy Thomas (1828-1910).

Includes 97 autograph manuscript letters written by Dutton Cook from November 23, 1870 to January 5, 1883. Letters discuss gossip on Mrs. Charles Dickens [Catherine Dickens], discussions of current plays, writers, actors, literature of the day, and many other topics.
