Scope and Contents

Collection includes printed sheet music from the United States and England from the 19th-century and the 20th-century. Most of the sheet music is intended for a specific popular dance such as a waltz, two step, mazurka, schottisch, polka, or galop. Many of the sheet music titles are derived from natural phenomena such as comets, eclipses, and volcanos. Many of the items are undated.
