Biographical / Historical

Ambrose DuBek was chief set designer and decorator for CBS Television from his discharge from the U.S. Army in 1945 until his retirement in 1986. A mentor and patron to many in the arts, he was known in the worlds of dance, theatre, publishing, radio, television, film, music and opera.

Scope and Contents

14 albums (disbound) of black and white photographs of dances and dancers chiefly from Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and chiefly photographed by John Lindquist. Also included are publicity photographs by others including Arks Smith and Martha Swope.
