84M-365. Bequest of Philip Hofer. Album bought by Philip Hofer from Rena Fennessy in August 1967.
Item 16, gift of Rena Fennessy to Phillip Hofer in recognition of his special interest in her work, January, 1968.

The drawings are in 13 folders, with the cover and title page of the album from which they were removed. Titles are transcribed from the drawings, with some corrections and additions of scientific or popular names; punctuation may differ. The page numbers in brackets represent their places in the album.

Rena Fennessy was a British artist best known for book illustration and flora and fauna drawings.

Scope and Contents

Album of 13 drawings, measuring 25 x 34 cm. or smaller, contains eight drawings of birds, two drawings of animals, and four drawings of plants, which were made in Nairobi, Kenya.
