Biographical / Historical

Charlotte Ramsay Lennox was an English novelist, who also made the first comparative study of Shakespeare's source material.

Scope and Contents

Contains correspondence, mostly professional letters to Lennox from prominent literary figures who took an interest in her work. Both the creative and the practical aspects of writing and publishing are discussed. Also includes a few poems, most about Lennox, one possibly by her; financial documents; and a broadside.
