Biographical / Historical

Crane was an English illustrator, painter, and designer primarily known for his imaginative illustrations of children''s books. He was also a political cartoonist and director of several English art schools.

Scope and Contents

Includes pencil, pen-and-ink, and watercolor drawings, and autograph manuscript sonnets by Crane. All items drawn into bound volumes: sketchbooks, a scrapbook, and a notebook.
