John Bowdler (1746-1823) was a writer on religious and church affairs. Thomas Bowdler was his father. Lady Jane Cotton was Thomas Bowdler's mother-in-law.
Includes eighteen autograph letters from Thomas Bowdler to his mother-in-law, Lady Jane Cotton, concerning her finances and Thomas's family. Also includes three autograph letters from Thomas to his son, John, concerning John's finances, his schooling and religious studies, and various family matters.
