Abstract: Letters from the American Civil War Confederate officer John Daniel Imboden containing his account of the capture of Harper's Ferry to the American Civil War Union officer Ezra Ayres Carman.
Imboden commanded the Staunton Artillery in the capture of Harper's Ferry in April 1861. Ezra Ayres Carman rose to be a Union brigadier general in the Civil War.
