Consists chiefly of letters written by Charles Macomb Flandrau to Thomas Boyd while Flandrau was traveling in Europe, concerning their respective works in progress, dealings with publishers, and Flandrau's impressions of Spain, France, and St. Paul (his home town). Also includes a letter to Boyd from Edmund L. Pearson, replying to an inquiry about Flandrau's work.
