George Sand (pseudonym of Amantine Lucille Aurore Dupin Dudevant) was a French author.


Arranged in two series:

Scope and Contents

Letters, 1829-1832, to François Duris-Dufresne concerning personal and literary matters; letters, 1853-1859, to Gustave Vaëz about her literary and dramatic works; and other letters to various friends. Also contains manuscripts of Sand's writings, including three poems, chapters from Consuelo and La Comtesse de Rudolstadt, her play La Poupée ou les Deux Filons, and receipt for publication of Mariette.
