Biographical / Historical

John Masefield was an English poet, playwright, and novelist who served as England's poet laureate (1930-1967). Jack Butler Yeats was an Irish painter, brother of the poet William Butler Yeats.

Includes twenty letters from Masefield to Yeats about daily life, their families, travels, and work. Includes poetry and several small drawings in the letters. There is also a letter from Masefield to Yeats' wife inquiring about a visit.
