Biographical / Historical

MacLeish (1892-1982) was a Pulitzer Prize winning American poet, playwright, teacher, librarian of Congress, and public official. He was also Boylston professor of Rhetoric at Harvard (1949-1962).

Scope and Contents

Typescripts, galley proofs, and page proofs of the theatrical play, Scratch, based on Stephen Vincent Benét's short story The Devil and Daniel Webster.
