Biographical / Historical

The How family, later the Howe family, lived in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The original homestead was in Ipswich, Mass.


Organized into two series:

Scope and Contents

Consists of 35 documents and letters concerning property rights and inheritance, family births and deaths, taxes, court cases, and other legal matters. Includes petitions, contracts, permits, deeds, court summonses and warrants, receipts, town tax records, military orders, genealogies, and a death book.
