Charles Asselineau, a librarian at the Mazarine Library in Paris, was a friend of the French poet Charles Baudelaire, and published a biography on the writer.
Contains letters to Asselineau from various correspondents, and chiefly from Baudelaire's mother Caroline Achimbault-Dufays Baudelaire Aupick, inquiring after the health of her son who was convalescing in a Parisian hospital.These letters were published with some omissions Mercure de France 16-IX, 1912, 225-257.
