Abstract: Letters to Austrian dramatist and poet Richard Beer-Hofmann from Karl D. Darmstädter, who translated Beer-Hofmann's work into English, as well as compositions by Beer-Hofmann.
Beer-Hofmann was an Austrian dramatist and poet. Karl D. Darmstädter was a writer, poet, and professor of German language and literature, who emigrated to the United States in 1940.
Includes four letters from Darmstädter to Beer-Hofmann concerning the latter's works, notably Lullaby for Miriam and History of King David, an autograph manuscript of the poem "Ins Stammbuch von Hilla Fischer" by Beer-Hofmann, and an autograph manuscript photocopy of Lullaby for Miriam translated by Darmstädter, among other items.
