Includes autograph manuscripts of The fortunes of the Scattergood family and a portion of The Adventures of Mr. Ledbury and his friend Jack Johnson, as well as the printers' copies of Bentley's Miscellany for the serialized versions of the novels. Also includes a fragment of a first-person narrative set in Cairo, Egypt.
