Biographical / Historical

Theodora Eliot Smith is the niece of T.S. (Thomas Stearns) Eliot, poet, dramatist, and critic.

Scope and Contents

Collection consists of drawing of Eliot, letters to family members, biographical miscellany and printed materials on Eliot and his family, 1921 photograph album (including photographs of T.S. Eliot and Vivienne Eliot), loose photographs of Eliot and family members (ca. 1920s-1940s) and photographs of Eliot's visit to Harvard University, scrapbook, theater programs, and clippings.
Also includes materials relating to Charlotte Champe Stearns Eliot, Henry Ware Eliot (1843-1919) diary from 1864, Henry Ware Eliot (1879-1947), Marion Cushing Eliot, Theresa Garrett Eliot, Vivienne Eliot, Charlotte Eliot Smith, and Theodora Eliot Smith.
