Abstract: Pew tax ledger; minutes of business meetings.
The Thirteenth Congregational Society (also known as the Congregational Church in Purchase Street ) was incorporated June 18, 1825. The second meeting house was on Harrison Avenue. Its ministers were George Ripley (1829-1841) and James Ivers Trecothick Coolidge (1842-1858), who became an Episcopalian. The church was dissolved shortly after his dismissal.
This collection consists of a pew tax ledger, as well as the minutes of business meetings.
