Biographical / Historical

Clement & Sons was a marble quarrying firm in Rutland, Vermont.

Scope and Contents

For the years 1851-1876, these records include a ledger, cash books, accounts current, payroll and a letter book. There are also two journals covering the years 1890-1929. Journals F, October 1890-April 1989, and G, May 1898-August 1929, were kept by Clement and Sons. They contain many entries for Clement, Bane, and Co., Clement National Bank, and other administrative financial records.
