Drawings (pen and ink and watercolor), primarily of Siberia. Includes manuscript atlas
of Siberia by Seml'ianovich Remezov, manuscript map of Siberia by Ivan Kirillovich
Kirilov, and others.
- (1). The Godounov map, 1667. 1 manuscript map : 12 x 14 in.pf
The earliest Russian general map of Siberia. Done under the administration of Petr Ivanovich Godounov. Removed from the Remezov sketchbook [see item (6)]. With this is a facsimile of the copy made by an attaché of the Swedish embassy in 1669. See also: Atlas of Asiatic Russia (1914) reproduction; H.
